Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of kickbacks (the “Service”). By installing or using kickbacks, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (and have any consent required in your country) to use kickbacks, and you must meet League of Legends’ own minimum age requirement. You are responsible for complying with the terms of Riot Games and Overwolf while using the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to qualify for a cash payout.

2. What kickbacks is

kickbacks is a companion app that displays an advertisement while you wait in League of Legends matchmaking and accrues a rewards balance for qualifying ad views.

3. Early-access rewards and launch payouts

• The current version accrues an estimated rewards balance. Your balance has no cash or monetary value and is not withdrawable.
• Accrual rates are estimates based on projected ad revenue and may change at any time. A displayed balance is not a promise of payment.
• We expect to offer eligible cash payouts at public launch through Stripe, subject to a minimum threshold, identity verification, fraud review, and additional terms. At launch, payouts will be available only to eligible recipients who are at least 18 years old and located in the United States. We may expand payout availability to other countries later, but no expansion is guaranteed. Until payouts are live, this launch plan is not a guarantee of payment.

4. Fair use and prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Fake, spoof, script, automate, or otherwise manipulate view events or ad impressions.
• Use bots, emulators, or multiple accounts to farm rewards.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.

We may reject events, withhold or void balances, and suspend or terminate accounts that we believe, in our discretion, engage in fraud, abuse, or invalid activity.

5. No affiliation

kickbacks is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games or Overwolf. League of Legends is a trademark of Riot Games, Inc. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

6. Intellectual property

The Service and its content are owned by kickbacks and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any balance will result in a payment.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, kickbacks will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of a rewards balance, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, and we may update these Terms, at any time. The only notice we provide of any change to these Terms is revising the “Last updated” date at the top of this page — we are not required to notify you by any other means, and your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, including for violation of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
